I'm very happy that this discussion thread was created. Domino's End captivated me since it started to be translated at the PR site.
(Warning speculation about a not yet translated chapter ahead) V I'm looking forward to this month's chapter(June 2015), the title says "I am Guan WeiJun" so maybe she will be found out?! ... ( O o O ) Probably not, I think, maybe we will just find out some of her past. Can't wait, I really want to know if Jiang Shuyun was alright after that infection, and if he got an infection from his wounds, could the uncle have gotten one too? I hope there is enough antibiotics for everybody. I'm so happy that the reliable Dagê is back.

lol dominos~ makes me want pizza Q~Q some bbq chicken pizza with lots of cilantro! I feel like our dear Sun Knight and Ah Ye would love this pizza as well. But that's off topic.
I was happy to see this thread up too. I have a lot of expectations for this LN. It's really hard to write a good end of the world series in my opinion and Yu Wo had me hooked with just the prologue! I am also very curious, is the mc Guan Wei Jun or Jiang Shu Yu. Oh and I seriously cried tears of joy when I read that our reliable big brother is back! Just in the nick of time too!
Hmm, so there's actually a lot to speculate and talk about even though I didn't really think so before. There's the mc's true identity, why she was possibly sent in back in time to alternative universe and into a younger male body, why specifically Shuyu's body and that family, or just the whole red meteor, black fog, and aberrants things.
Just my own thoughts and imagination, doesn't really have any backing and evidence, but I just feel like it the whole red meteor, black fog, and aberrants thing isn't a natural event but a man-made widespread experiment. You know with all that talk about the world being overpopulated and all. However, this is a Yu Wo LN and I honesty can't guess anything she writes. All my predications totally go down the drain with every new chapter update haha also man-made experiment sounds a bit cliche so most likely not true. But also can't be a natural occurrence either..
As for the whole why Jiang Shu Yu, I have no idea at all.

Dominion's End is such a thriller. Very exciting. :D I also really appreciate Shuyu/Weijun as the protagonist. She is cynical from her previous experiences, yet she still finds it in herself to care about others.
(These siblings are adorable.)
(Pfffft, bbq chicken pizza with cilantro? Might be the perfect food for Grisia and Ah Ye to share)

I am such a fan of Yu Wo's funnier and adventurous books like LSK and HP. But ever since I've stumbled across one of Yu Wo's more darker books, Male Flower(?), I've been hooked on her extremely darker side of writing, since I just love a good thrill. (LSK is pretty dark in some parts, but not as bad as DE and ILT.) I think I originally found out about Dominion's End by googling Yu Wo's books. And lo and behold, I see lucathia's blog about other books I haven't heard about! Ahaha! And now finally, It's being translated

Hahaha omg I was wondering why I always thought the name lucathia was so familiar. I just realized I used to frequent your blog a lot XD I also agree, I love how she still has her humanity even after going through hell. I love the siblings as well, I feel like I'm a huge sucker for close sibling relations. (and Anixancy YEAH GONG HUA! I'm hooked on it. Haha yeah.. LSK got kind of dark. Speaking of dark books, I feel like Kill No More was pretty dark as well, that one is also a great read, one of my favorites.)

I don't really like horror movies but surpisenly I enjoy horror and thriller books. I got exited when I learned about this new PR! project. Shuyu/Weijun is an interesting character. Weijun had seen all the darkest sides of humankind. She kept been betrade by the one she loved {Spoiler!} She even had seen him NOT saving her mother, her only relative. In the end she even got abendent by him. I wonder if she sees "him" in Shutian? "Shuyu" trusts his Dage yet "Weijun" is afrade of him... She is "afrade" to yet again put her faith in the one she "trusts". And even so she still comes to love her new family. Man, this novel is not really about horror and thriller stuff. It's more about human relations.

I wonder what special powers everyone will get. I'm thinking that Shuyu/Weijun will probably get a very useful power (maybe something to do with defence? *thinks about Shield of Earth...Wait, wrong series). But the entire family would probably become even more OP. And I believe that sometime in the story, it will be Shuyu who saves Shutian. I will be waiting for such a scene to bask in the feels. Please don't disappoint me Yu Wo.

I've just read some spoilers to v2&3 on lucathias blog and now I can't stop myself from commenting {Some thoughts } Ice emperors story ended up as tragedy. His siblings are dead and even by jumping back to the "past" he still couldn't save them. There family was wiped out. And it is such a good family. But now thanks to Weijun there future path has changed to an unpredictable one. I wonder if thirteen will also be affected? He might not become a merderer now.
Doesnt all this 2world situation mean that somewhere out there there is another 25 year old Weijun that is only about to be betrayed. If Shuyu will bump into her will he try to protect her cos he has those memories from when he was Weijun? Is it possible to tern her life to a better root? Maybe her mum is still alive too!!! + doesn't 25 year old Weijun and 27 year old Dage sound like a perfect match? :3

Oh, it didn´t occur to me that Shuyu/Weijun can meet Weijun of this world.
Actually I don´t like zombie stories, but this one seems interesting and funny in some parts too. Can´t wait what will happen next.

Thank god I couldn't make much sense of the spoiler EliSan posted.( I just can't stop from reading spoilers *sighs*) As far as powers, I think the sister will get either healing or attack type powers... she seems that sort of a character. Not sure of our dear dage ( though I'm sure it's bound to be badass)

I'm pretty much sure that their powers are related to what we see on the covers of the novels.

For me, the black fog is one of the most interesting aspects of Dominion's End, as it's what sets everything into play. How it works and its effects are probably things I think more about than the characters and their predicament.
1. How do you think the black fog selects people to survive or turn into aberrants?
It seems like overall health is the biggest factor, since Guan Weijun was so worried about Shuyu's atrophied body not being strong enough to make it, and because Shuyu's previous athleticism helped him to pull through. However, the Nurse's boyfriend, Muscle Man, was apparently a really buff guy, yet he ended up turning into an aberrant.
Physical strength being the sole factor doesn't make much sense either if children were to somehow survive the black fog. If children, naturally physically weaker than adults, couldn't make it through the black fog because of that, then the entire human race would be doomed anyway. So does the black fog just select the fittest people of an age group?
I'm also wondering if mental health plays any role in the black fog's selection, but we haven't seen anyone mentally unsound yet. Even if we did, I would blame the excruciating pain caused by the black fog for making someone go insane.
2. If overall health is the biggest factor in aberrant changing rates, do some areas of the world have higher rates than others?
There's obviously some places of the world with high concentrations of malnourished people, which probably would raise their chances of turning into an aberrant considerably. On the other end of the scale, obese people aren't particularly healthy either, so those areas may have high aberrant changing rates too.
Would hospitals have extremely high rates because of all of the ill and recovering people in the wards?
3. How annoying would aberrant mosquitoes be? If I lit smoky fire to keep them away, I probably would be scared of other aberrants finding me. However, if aberrant mosquitoes are smart enough to find targets more efficiently, being bitten all over by mosquitoes would be unbearable.

Trespasserby1. maybe it act´s like some kind of sickness. if you get it you will die and turn to an aberrant. Maybe it gets stronger each year. 3. aberrant mosquitoes? The normal ones are enough!!
