This Chinese cartoon is basically my childhood. It is pretty famous (enough to have been translated into many languages except English sadly) so I was wondering if anyone here has watched it. It is paper cut-out animation from 1986, so fairly old now, but still a classic. Anyway, just last year they released a new series continuing from the original Season 1 and it is so amazing! I am deeply in love with it and this is me restraining myself from going into full fangirl mode because otherwise this will just turn into incoherent rambling. So, I highly recommend it to you all because it is all kinds of sweet, adorable, and heart-breaking (at least for myself), and all my acquaintances have probably gotten fed up with me rambling about it.
The original story is about seven calabash (bottle gourd) children and their Yeye who go off to vanquish the demons. I have included YouTube links if you're interested.
